In Elvas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will visit the Forte de N. Sra. Graça, the castle, the aqueduct and the Forte de Santa Luzia, before settling into your accommodation for the night. In the following days, you will pass through the charming cities of Borba and Vila Viçosa, with wine tastings at Adega de Borba and Herdade do Esporão. Savor a 6-course lunch with wine at Herdade do Esporão, then explore Reguengos de Monsaraz and enjoy stunning views from Miradouro do Alqueva. Your trip continues with visits to Beja and Évora, where you will visit historical sites such as the Cathedral and the Capela dos Ossos. Experience the region’s crafts with visits to the Arraiolos carpet workshop and a cork factory, and end the day with a themed dinner with Cante Alentejano. The retreat ends with a leisurely day in Évora, allowing you to relax or explore the city at your own pace.

Itinerary

Day 1Castelo de Vide - Marvão - Portalegre - Elvas

Morning: Visit to the historic center of Castelo de Vide.
Afternoon: Explore the convent and castle of Marvão, then visit the castle, cathedral and historic center of Portalegre. Lunch in Portalegre.
Evening: Arrival in Elvas for a guided tour of the Forte de N. Sra. Graça, the castle, the aqueduct and the Forte de Santa Luzia. Overnight in Elvas.

Day 2Elvas - Borba - Vila Viçosa - Reguengos de Monsaraz

Morning: Panoramic visit to the center of Borba, followed by a wine tasting at Adega de Borba. Visit to the Doge’s Palace and Vila Viçosa Castle.
Afternoon: Wine tasting and 6-course lunch at Herdade do Esporão. Free time to explore Reguengos de Monsaraz. Overnight in Reguengos.

Day 3Reguengos - Beja - Évora

Morning: Photo stop at Miradouro do Alqueva. Visit to Quinta do Carmo (Vidigueira) and wine tasting (subject to availability).
Afternoon: Lunch in Beja, followed by a guided tour of the historic center of Beja, the castle and the cathedral. Continuation to Évora for the night.

Day 4Évora - Arraiolos

Morning: Explore Évora’s historic sites, including the Temple of Diana, the Cathedral, the Church of São Francisco and the Capela dos Ossos.
Afternoon: Visit to Cartuxa for a wine tasting and lunch. Explore Arraiolos, visiting the carpet workshop and a cork factory. Return to Évora for free time and a themed dinner with Cante Alentejano. Overnight in Évora.

Day 5Évora

Full day: Free day in Évora to explore or relax. Departure transfer according to your departure time.
